Quick – which is tougher a chicken or a duck? When it comes to venturing out in the cold, the winner is a duck by a country mile. Our chickens and ducks cohabitate in the winter in our greenhouse. If the temperature is above -5 C the ducks will go walk-about. The chickens are rarely seen outside when it’s remotely close to zero. I’ve attached a short video to this post that I captured through the window of our shed one day when it was just above freezing and a light snow was falling.     I have to admit I don’t think I have ever seen duck tracks in the snow! I love that the animals get a choice :)
