Position Details

The Stoddart Family Farm requires an energetic, self-motivated individual to join the team in the capacity of a General Farm Worker.  Duties will include:

Caring for various poultry raised under a “Pastured Poultry” production system;

All activities related to rotational grazing of cattle and sheep;

All activities related to a small organic vegetable patch;

Some machinery operation;

Farm yard maintenance and upkeep, including fencing & repair, grass cutting, garden maintenance etc.; and

Other duties as required.

The majority of the work performed by this position will be outdoors, sometimes during inclement weather.

 

Qualifications:

An interest in organic agriculture and alternative food production systems;

Previous experience working with animals and machinery an asset but we are willing to train the right individual;

AZ license is an asset;
